Ingredients of Chakhle's Shami Kebab

  • 1/2 kg keema

    1 cup water

    1 flower javitri(mace)

    1 stick cinnamon

    2-3 cloves

    1 brown cardamom

    2 green cardamom

    5-7 black peppercorns

    1/2 cup channa dal

    Salt, to taste

    3 bay leaves

    Red chili powder, to taste

    1 onion, chopped

    1 green chilli, chopped

    2 Tbsp oil, to shallow fry

How to Make Chakhle's Shami Kebab

  • In a pressure cooker add keema, water, javitri, cinnamon, cloves, brown cardamom, green cardamom, black peppercorns, channa dal, salt, bay leaves, red chili powder.

    Boil it for 3 whistles. Now add onions, green chilli. Mix it well.

    Make round shaped medium sized patties.

    In a pan add oil. Shallow fry the kebabs from both sides till a brown crust is achieved.

    Serve with onion rings and green chutney.
