Yogurt Dip

Yogurt Dip
Serves - 3
Time - to prepare

Ingredients

  • 250 ml natural unsweetened yogurt

    1 onion, finely sliced or chopped

    1 tomato, chopped

    1 green chilli, finely chopped

    1/4 tsp salt

    1 Tbsp vegetable oil

    1/4 tsp brown mustard seeds

    10-12 unsalted peanuts (optional), skinned

Method

  • In a bowl, whip the yogurt until it is creamy.

    Fold in the onion, tomato, green chilli, and salt.

    Heat the oil in a small frying pan, then add the mustard seeds.

    Fry for a few seconds until you can smell the aroma, then tip in the peanuts, if using.

    Fry for a minute, making sure they don't burn.

    When the mixture has cooled gently add it to the yogurt.

    Serve chilled.
